As most of the Grifters output, One Sock Missing was recorded at Easley-McCain Studios in Memphis helped put the now famous studio on the map for bands like Wilco, Pavement, Sonic Youth, the Breeders, Jeff Buckley, the White Stripes, & Guided by Voices. Massive touring with Fugazi, Guided by Voices, Strapping Fieldhands, Superchunk, Rocket from the Crypt, & Flaming Lips cemented the Grifters as one of the top bands of the 90s indie rock world.
