Amen 2's long, euphoric tracks inhabit a similar musical territory as My Bloody Valentine's shoegazer melodies or Spiritualized's space gospel, infused in a certain joie de vivre. The first single off the album is There Used To Be A Darkness, of which Mikko comments, "There is in this song a lot of pure childlike joy, which started to come out after a long stressful period. This airy, effortless pop song is also a first step towards the light."
