‘So Delicious from 1979 was Earth, Wind & Fire prot?g?s The Pockets third and final album and brought an end to their brief lifespan as a group. You can hear the EWF influence in the incisive horns and slick percussion, especially on ‘How Do You Think It Feels and ‘Whyd Ya Do Dat while the mellow stepper ‘So Delicious is a delight. The disco-soul of ‘Charisma is a strong dancer, ‘Your Hearts In Trouble is a drama filled mid-tempo head nodder while the ender, ‘Bye-Bye is a fitting way to bow out – mainly instrumental and – knowingly or not, the groups curtain call. Good album.
