Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's 24th birthday was a big debut in 2017. In the first years, they had their place as a home band of the legendary Derby Nightclub in Los Angeles, reminding everyone of the world - in the midst of the Grunge era - that it was still cool Was swinging, of course in big band style. The album of the band from Ventura near San Diego has not yet aged. Finally, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's fantastic debut on vinyl has been squeezed. Fans had to wait quite a long time. After all these years (the album was only released on CD in 1994), it still feels great to hear songs such as "13 Women", "Cruel Spell" or "Machine Gun". Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was founded in 1989 by Frontman Scotty Morris. The band name comes from Blues legend Albert Collins, who signed a poster for Scotty, "for Scotty, the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy". Great discussions about the name could, of course, no longer exist. The band quickly developed their own swing style, inspired by the music of the '40s and' 50s. Shortly after this album appeared, the band was signed by a major label and their story continues to this day. The career of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy has already had numerous highlights: In 1999, she played the half-time show at the Super Bowl with Stevie Wonder. Numerous other TV appearances followed. Perhaps someone still remembers the cult film "Swingers", in which the band also appears. The band also plays 150 concerts per year.
