With their album "Do Not Tailgate" released in 1995, the Swedish rock band Fireside celebrated its international breakthrough. They cleared the Swedish Grammy for the best rock album and got a contract with Rick Rubins American Recordings. There followed performances in the States. In 1997, Fireside finally released their third long-range player: "Uomini d'onore". A technically mature, multi-layered and experimental work, which immediately got a place in the top ten. Today, "Uomini d'onore" is a European Emocore classic. At the time, the album made the breeding ground for the Swedish rock wave in its independent mix of Fugazi, Quicksand, Texas Is The Reason and Far. If you are not familiar with Fireside's portfolio, you should allow "Uomini d'onore" several listening passages to capture the whole range of hidden melodies and interlaced arrangements between sweet melancholy and kinky dynamics - it's worth it!
