Identity is, after Lucid Moments from the year 2011, the second album of the Polish rock band TUNE from Lodz. Musically, TUNE moves between art and progressive rock, combined with elements of neo-prog, where the musicians completely abandon long and epic songs with sprawling instrumental passages. Rather, TUNE keep the tracks on normal Songl?nge between 4 and 5 minutes and in this time let their musical head cinema with profound depth between melancholy, desperate search for a way out and erupting rage and aggression affect the listener. Despite the depth of lyrics in a relentless way of dealing with reality (or what TUNE thinks), songs like the sensitive change or the driving, partially harsh crackpot have quite hitchances and single potential. The atmospheric instrumental intro on has something of PINK FLOYD, while some vocal passages such as To Live To Work To Live to a DAVID BOWIE to remember his Berlin time (Low, Heroes) and here the mood of the song would fit perfectly into the time of a still divided Germany. Overall, Identity is an impressive work between quiet and dreamy as well as spirited sound spaces full of intensity and passion.
