After the death of ABSCESS, Reifert and Co. have decided to let AUTOPSY revive as a real band. Whoever had the pleasure of seeing the band live at this year's Party San Festival, should understand how enthusiastically fans and the band themselves are facing this reunion. After the band's first life in 2009 with the Horrific Obsession 2 Track EP, "The Tomb Within" is the first material after the 1995 cult "Shitfun". Musically the Amis continue on their sick track, for which they have become so infamous. The five presented tracks are really fast for AUTOPSY ratios and are more in the direction of the last album. Nevertheless, there are many slow-moving parts - you can listen to the middle part of the opener or the more discreet 'Mutant Village'. Here comes the feeling of "Severed Survival" times. Sound technically AUTOPSY oriented themselves to "Shitfun", which came brachial but not overproduced. Contrary to the publications of ABSCESS, which are really very habituated by the thin and muddy production, "The Tomb Within" is very pleasant and ground-floor. CONCLUSIONS: Whoever has been fond of the rebirth of this band fifteen years is well served here. "The Tomb Within" is a great new beginning and will be waiting for the already announced Full Length "Macabre Eternal". The new material is energetic and shows the band in high form. Whoever said that the gentlemen had grown old, is clearly instructed.
