Not least because the French-speaking duo from Quebec, Canada, has changed its course on its third album. In the two previous works, the eleven songs of Supermercado- are based on memorable, repetitive melodies, which are in the forefront of the two previous works-in Magicien en toi- and -Le Voyage ?ternel- still driving, dissonant guitar sounds, minimal beats and syncopated bass lines in the foreground Sharpened, hypnotic-strange sound paintings, and are flanked by two-part singing. The title program is as follows: as one expects from a good shop, -Supermercado- is characterized by an ingenious, high-quality and varied offer. The album was produced at Breakglass Studios in Montreal with the collaboration of Emmanuel Ethier (Chocolat, Bernhari, Peter Peter). Perfect for fans of Television, Ought, Alex Calder, Talking Heads and Freelove Fenner.
