Max Reger left behind an extremely extensive organ work. The new album by the Italian organist Adriano Falcioni focuses on three monumental compositions: the "Fantasia and Fugue on B-A-C-H", the organ sonata No. 1 in F sharp minor and the organ sonata No. 2 in D minor. Adriano Falcioni follows with this album an explicit recommendation from the granddaughter of the composer, who encouraged the Italian organist to record the organ music after attending one of his concerts. Falcioni calls Reger's second organ sonata 'essential for his development as an organist.'
