The Finnish jazz scene explodes in 2017. One of the most prominent talents is the trumpeter Jukka Eskola. He has already experienced ten years of adventure in all sorts of corners of jazz: the dance floor fireworks of the Five Corners Quintet, the harsh expressionism of Mikko Innanens small Big Band, Jimi Tenor's cosmic jazz and, of course, his solo recordings after CTI. Now Jukka Eskola returns to his foundations. And when a master like him does, the result is stunning. The Jukka Eskola Soul Trio consists of Eskola on the trumpet and the wing horn, Mikko Helev? on the organ and the Stance Brother # 1, teppo "Teddy Rock" M?kynen, on drums. If Helev? needs a break from the bass pedal, then Ville Herrala supports the trio. In addition, tenor saxophonist Timo Lassy can be heard on "Hong Thong" and "Subterranean Variations", and Magnus Lindgren sneaks into the groove of "Railyard Boogie" with his flute.
