Following their recent sold out Australian tour and having just returned from an extensive adventure through the UK and Europe, road weary wanderers, The Smith Street Band have announced plans to hit the studio to record album number three. The band has revealed the new album will be recorded at Melbourne's iconic Sing Sing Studios as well as a secret location in the Otway Ranges. The follow up to 2013's 5 track EP Don't Fuck With Our Dreams will be recorded with Sam Johnson and US Producer and front-man of Bomb The Music Industry! Jeff Rosenstock. Relentless touring has seen The Smith Street Band slowly winning over the world, with the past few years seeing the band play all over Australia, China and the United States. Recent trip to the UK and Europe included sold out shows in London and Belgium's Groezrock festival where they shared the line up with the Offspring and NoFx. Having just landed back on home soil The Smith Street Band play a run of sold out Australian dates with Brisbane mate's Violent Soho prior to commencing work on the new album.
