Along with her new band Agua de Annique the charismatic singer quickly established herself as a solo artist, releasing several albums to critical and popular acclaim. Anneke worked with numerous artists including Devin Townsend, Anathema, Icelandic folk group Arst?dir, Within Temptation, Ayreon mastermind Arjen Lucassen (including the Anneke/Arjen project The Gentle Storm), Moonspell, John Wetton and Napalm Death. December 2016 Anneke announced the creation of her new band Vuur. With the exception of three songs, the music on In Your Room is upbeat and sounds positively cheerful & instantly catchy. "Wonder" and "Home Again" are piano ballads that come close to the melancholic territory that comprised her previous work. "I Want" has an irresistibly groovy instrumentation, and her voice absolutely drips with rich quality.
