Not two years ago, FJ?RT's second album KONTAKT transcended the boundaries of their genre and found countless listeners who would otherwise be able to hear out of "such music" immediately. Now the band is announcing their third album for November 17th, 2017: COULEUR is the next big exclamation point in a band history that can only be described as' extraordinary'. Frank Schophaus (drums), David Frings (bass, vocals) and Chris Hell (guitar, vocals) wrote an album in less than a year with absolute efficiency, which transports more than ever the extremes for which the trio from Aachen has stood since its foundation in 2012. Fortunately, the breathtaking speed with which FJ?RT operate their band never goes against the quality of their work. "The music was too important. We had to go on,"the band wipes out doubts about a "quick shot". While other bands are smoothing out more and more edges of their sound after a commercially successful album to repel less listeners, FJ?RT have chosen the opposite path and have honed themselves on COULEUR a few new, pointed teeth. COULEUR rushes and scratches, comes along more wildly than its predecessor. The unpredictability of the compositions has remained, shuffling between brutal hardcore moments inspired by Yage or Eaves and majestic post-rock parts such as Envy or Mogwai. More bile is also spat than ever before on the content level. COULEUR is not an album about politics, but the band's most political album yet. "There are people here who don't see past mistakes as a memorial anymore. We just can't afford to keep our mouths shut," says bassist David Frings,"Politics is for us humanity and empathy. The wish that we can all live better together. Pointing your finger at the people who see it differently is no longer enough. We have to discuss and show ourselves in public." And although the musical garb of FJ?RT may radiate hopelessness and despair, the three are not ready to give up
