Two years after the release of his highly acclaimed ENJA debut "Natural Perception" (ENJA Records, 2015), Tobias Meinhart now returns with the profound and penetrating album "Silent Dreamer". In connection with the release in September Tobias brings his band for a release tour over the Atlantic. In 2016, Tobias was nominated for an ECHO and the New York jazz magazine drew "Natural Perception" with a five-star review and described it as "an impressive player with an outstanding tone." Silent Dreamer is now decidedly darker both in the tone and in the theme, as Tobias relies on a tonal palette that is closer to the seething alternative and popular music scene: pulsating grooves, effects, rhodes, EWI and partial electric bass All in the melodic, modern jazz sensibility of the saxophonist to form a single sound body that is at the same time rousing, rough and cathartic. Tobias performs with his bands world-wide and has among other things In Russia, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Italy and Poland.
