A Scandinavian band which does not play death- or black metal? That's what the Norwegian Silver End does. The four guys that is Silver End brings us solid hard rock. Spreading Fire is the sequel to their debut Beyond Limits released in 2013. The second album is often the most difficult, but Spreading Fire meets all expectations. There are 13 songs on the record, and each one has real punch. What struck me was the catchy choruses and the good production. The drums, guitars and bass all have some serious punch, and they sit very well in the mix. If you're looking for the most original songs, you will be deceived here. Most tracks follow the pattern of intro, chorus, chorus, chorus, chorus, bridge to end with a chorus. The singer, Christian Ler?, has amazed me with his voice which fits the music so well. Winning the Raffle is one of many highlights on the record: a flaming intro with a great hook, good build up to the chorus which will stick with you for hours. I highly recommend Spreading Fire to anyone who loves solid hard rock
