Sorrows Path was founded in November 1993, inspired by classic doom metal bands such as Candlemass and Solitude Aeturnus. In January 1995 a first demo and in May 1996 a cassette with the title "Promo 96" was released. In 1997 they were back in the studio, but the material was never released. Due to a heavy motorcycle accident by the band leader Kostas Salomidis, the band activities rested for 7 years. In 2005, however, this phase was over and they were soon back on stage. Eat Metal Records released a CD with the recordings so far. A new CD "The Rough Path of Nihilism" was released at the German label Rock It Up Records, which received good to very good reviews worldwide. Sorrows Path played a series of concerts and the highlight was the "Up the Hammers" Festival in Athens in March 2012. A contribution to a Black Sabbath Tribute for the Greek metal hammer followed in 2013. Christophe Szpajdel designed a new band logo for the second album "Doom Philosophy", which was released in September 2014 with the new label Iron Shield Rec. After this release the band played at numerous festivals and toured several times. Now you are ready to conquer the world with the grandiose new Opus "Touching Infinity"! Let's Doooom ...
