Alessandro Scarlatti (1660-1725) was the most important Italian vocal music composer of his time. The manuscript of the "Oratorio per La Santissima Trinit?" was discovered at the beginning of the millennium on an antique market in Naples. The Scarlatti expert Est?van Velardi was the first to produce a critically revised version of the oratorio and is also responsible for its first recording.
