De Picciotto moved from New York to Berlin in 1987, became lead singer of the Space Cowboys, co-founder of the Love Parade and one of the initiators of the Ocean Club. In 2001 she met Hacke, the bassist of Einst?rzende Neubauten. They became a couple both privately and artistically. The two universal artists gave up their house in 2010 and have since traveled the world to find a home in their sounds. Together they create beautiful, existentialist, acoustic and above all intense soundscapes, interspersed with melancholic, translucent harmonies, heavy bass chords and eclectic electronics. A fascinating universe of sound and emotions. Her new album is called "Menetekel" and it is darker than her last masterpiece "Perseverantia". The title is a word for "writing on the wall" and the artist couple projects the collective despair of the situation of the world. It transforms them into a monumental symphony of whirling sounds and biblical frenzy.
