When Simon Jeffes died on December 11,1997, he had a unique legacy left behind. For more than two decades, he has been working with his Penguin Cafe Orchestra Music that was not subject to any sort of drawer sorting. The world of classical music was too narrow for him, the of rock music too limited and in jazz and folklore the sound of this music could be heard. ensembles, which have been reoccupied over and over again depending on the composition, are not completely complete locate. "Union Cafe" was the last studio album with Simon Jeffes in 1993, whose son Arthur the orchestra continued as Penguin Cafe. It's as diverse and exciting as the whole work of this group, which is based on a legend according to its name of a food poisoning with hallucinogenic effects. Simon Jeffes dreamt of a place he called the Penguin Cafe. There Penguins serve Japanese Soul-Food and wine that gives you the feeling of being lighter, even floating - a more colourful wine, magical place as well as the Union Cafe. For the first time the album is now available on vinyl.
