The Canadian duo Two Bears North, consisting of Sophie Heppell and Melissa Walker, released their second album "Let The Air Clear". It also got a female addition in the form of Allyson MacIvor on the drums, which has no effect on the band name. The fact that the new songs also focus on the vastness of the Canadian West, the ocean, the wind and the associated images and experiences has also remained a constant - the album's title is more programmatic in that it refers to the power of a fresh breeze from the Rocky Mountains. This may sound a bit banal to some, but the band sees it as the essence of life. The whole thing is garnished with all kinds of relationship stories. The Two Bears North are anything but old hands, and that's why they see "Let The Air Clear" as a work of experience to grow on. Therefore the album is more courageous and less innocent than the debut "Comeocean" (2015). It offers warm-hearted, positive songs with great arrangements and a touch of melancholy that make a little shine to the darkness around us.
