Schtick is the new album from former Supergrass drummer Danny Goffey, who released his debut solo album ‘Take Your Jacket Off & Get Into It’ in 2015 as "Vangoffey". The Album has been championed by the likes of NME, Q, Uncut, BBC 6 Music and Radio X. Today Danny is back as "Danny Goffey" and with a new record, "Schtick", due for release on 11th May 2018. The teaser track 'Ancient Text', released on January 12th, is inspired by everyday news that's around us and all the terrible events that happen in the name of religion. The track go featured on Steve Lamacq, Shaun Keaveny (Radio1) and John Kennedy (Radio X) shows. Danny convinced Brett Anderson, lead vocalist of Suede, to sing the outro melody on Ancient Text. The track, as well as the whole album, was recorded at the Distillery in Somerset and co-produced by Simon Byrt (Pixx, Alice Jemima, Emiliana Torrini). The Album artwork was created by famous British Figurative Artist Jonathan Yeo (who has painted and worked with iconic and celebrated figures including actors Kevin Spacey, Dennis Hopper and supermodel Cara Delevigne).
