Michael Kaeshammer (born January 7, 1977 in Offenburg) is a German jazz musician (pianist, singer and arranger). Originally trained as a classical pianist, he discovered his love for boogie woogie. He has produced several blues- and jazz-oriented records on which he interprets standards from jazz, boogie-woogie and blues as well as his own compositions and songs. He's toured with Harry Manx and is with Anne Murray. On his albums he plays piano, Wurlitzer piano, Rhodes and electric piano. With his parents he moved from Offenburg to a city near Sidney, British Columbia. He then lived in Vancouver for seven years. He later moved to Toronto and then to the United States to New Orleans. Today he lives in Toronto
