H?NDEL/BACH/SCARLETTI/DEBUSSY/SATIE. Dance pieces from the Baroque period, the 19th century and the present day are presented on three different levels. Marimbas. Paul Changarnier from Normandy, Nicolas Cousin from Angers and Alexandre Esperet from Avignon are Mages of the marimbaphone and together the trio SR9, which they founded in 2010 during their Studied percussion in Lyon. On their first CD, "Bach au marimba", the three musicians interpreted extraordinary, award-winning and award-winning musician Johann Sebastian Bach 2015 and set standards for a new understanding of his music. But the trio has not only developed the As their second album "Alors, on danse?" beautifully proves. Basically this is a triptych whose connecting bracket is the dance. The prelude to a Suite combine interpretations of baroque dances like Gavotte, Sarabande, Minuet and Gigue. That are followed by compositions from the 19th century by Claude Debussy ("Tarentelle Styrienne"), B?la Bartok ("Romanian Folk Dances") and Alexander Borodin ("Polovtsian Dances"). In third part, we meet contemporaries such as Francois Tashdijan, who wrote an exclusive marimbaphone composition. In addition there are pieces by Erik Satie ("Danse de travers") and Manuel de Falla ("Ritual Fire Dance").
