We are pleased to introduce The Groove Family, a new line-up that is breaking into the Spanish Soul / Funk scene with great force. This quintet led by guitarist and composer Carlo "Groove" Lezcano, is formed by some of the most prestigious musicians in the country's Black Music scene, Jay Rivera, (voice), Santi "Sweet Fingers" Martin, (Bass), Gabri Casanova, (Hammond) and Miquel Ferrer, (Drums). On this occasion the band presents its first Single for Sweet Records, consisting of two tracks recorded in rigorous analogue format at the Funkameba Studios and that are included exclusively in this 7" edition. Side A of this single contains the song "It's Alright", performed by Mayka Edjo on vocals, one of the most important Soul Divas in Spain. A track full of energy in the likes of the purest and most traditional Deep Funk, a sound inherited from this band's many influences which recall great artists from the 60's and 70's. Side B brings us "Let's Get Started", with Jay Rivera on vocals. Clearly a Soul cut, closer to the sound of Curtis Mayfield or The Meters and that also features Mayka Edjo on backup vocals. The Groove Family takes from the sources that sound full of energy, contagious grooves and sincere melodies to build songs full of strength and emotion
