Debut from Alabama-raised East Coast US native Sharp Veins. Already a hotly tipped name in the world of experimental electronica, an intriguing stream of Soundcloud uploads last year saw Sharp Veins picked by FACT as a `producer to watch' for 2015 without a single release to his name. In Sharp Veins' own words, "all the songs on Inbox Island describe (and live in) fictional places - idyllic, isolated locations far away from where I am now, all viewed through a digital prism. It's escapism, or a brand of it." Inbox Island consolidates a whole world of influences into a gripping six-track record which owes as much to drone and UK club culture as it does the Southern hip hop he grew up on.
