This compendium of trippy tropical madness masquerading as "international" cumbias features Argentinian showbiz couple Tita Duval and Roberto Rey, who were based in Medell?n, Colombia. "Cumbias internacionales" was an attempt to fuse hippie sensibilities with tropical music and combines a heady mix of Afro rhythms, breezy choruses, social commentary and instrumentation such as the electric Varitone sax, echo-drenched flute, Mellotron and spacey organ.
