Driven by fire - that's rock'n'roll! Snotty, crunchy, hard, without frills and fabric softener. The POPSTAR KILLERS don't serve any niches and don't fire up any extremes - this is simply about proper Rock'n'Roll, which comes along unused, but at the same time fermented. You can hear that the four musicians know what they are doing and that they have been having this fun not just since yesterday. And yet the record also sounds like fresh out of the garage - the four guys from Ingolstadt know what they want: to write hits with board accompaniment. Sometimes fully on the 12, but also with softer tones, and in the lyrics honest, offensive and for example with the anti-racism statement "Shut up and leave" also political. DRIVEN BY FIRE has what it takes to reach a lot of rockers, young and old. This may also be because an idea only becomes a song when it convinces all four POPSTAR KILLERS. And that's not easy, considering that the roots of the four rockabilly, dialect blues and metal come together. But guitarist, singer and songwriter Alley finds the common intersection: somewhere between ProtoPunk of the early 70s, Scandinavian pig rock, garage rock, punk and alternative rock. A charismatic voice and melodies with catchy character, no whimpering, no grunting, no moaning, a decent guitar board, here and there decorated with little licks or solos, and rich content with burning passion. Simple. Strong.
