"Sho is Funky Down Here" is the result of the musical relationship between James Brown and the then young arranger David Matthews. It's a psychedelic album, created by his former bandleader David Matthews and released simultaneously with Matthews classic "The Grodeck Whipperjenny". Fuzzy Underground Pych-Funk, which contained the origin of his classic "Talking Loud And Saying Nothing" and inspired hip hop artists like A Tribe Called Quest, Large Professor, Brand Nubian, Biz Markie and others. This is the first official new edition and includes an extensive booklet with full annotations, liner notes by Brown historian Alan Leeds and never before published photos.
