STUNNING 1983 BROADCAST RECORDING FROM RITCHIE BLACKMORE S RAINBOW Formed in 1975 by former Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, Rainbow had their commercial breakthrough in 1979 with the hit single Since You ve Been Gone . In August 1983 the band released their seventh studio album, Bent Out Of Shape. Howard Johnson of Kerrang! magazine praised the album as, "possibly Rainbow's most complete work to date", and called Desperate Heart and Street of Dreams , "two of this year's finest tunes". In the wake of the record s release, Rainbow went out on the road and performed one of their finest shows ever at Cardiff s St. David s Hall on 14th September 83, where they put on a stunning show that remains a fan favourite to this day. Recorded for live FM radio broadcast, the full concert is now available for the first time here on CD.
