Recorded in September 2018 at the legendary Sam Phillips Recording Studio in Memphis with Grammy winner Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell, Margo Price) and David Barbe, "The Unraveling" is now the twelfth studio album in the 23-year career of the Athens-based band, GA. Three years have passed since the release of their last album "American Band". A break that Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley, also founding member and frontman no. 2, spent to understand and process the chaotic conditions in their home country. This is how especially personal pieces emerged from it. Among the guests were Patti King (The Shins), Kyleen King and Cody Dickinson (North Mississippi All-Stars).
