Nico Fidenco was born in Rome on 24 January 1933. He worked as an assistant director and also for an Italian record company, where he recorded Franco Migliacci was introduced. The musical director there was Ennio Morricone, who appreciated his voice, and who wanted him to be promoted. Already Nico Fidenco's first film song "What a sky" the film "Gef?hrliche N?chte" became a hit (1960/61, 1st place). His second hit was the song "Just The Same Old Line" (1961, 4th place) from the film "The girl with the light luggage". Further successful titles, often Italian Cover versions of successful international film songs followed, like "Exodus", "The World of Suzie Wong" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's." As early as 1963, Nico Fidenco had written about sold a million records. He wrote the music for more than 65 movies.
