As a son of Mexican immigrants, TRINIDAD LOPEZ III grew up in poor conditions in Texas and first tried his hand at street music. FRANK SINATRA discovered Lopez and made him a star. With Pete Seeger‘s protest song 'If A Had A Hammer', he reached number 1 in the charts in 36 countries! Many more hits such 'Kansas City',' This Land Is Your Land', 'La Bamba' and 'Lemon Tree' followed. Together with his discoverer and patron Frank Sinatra, he also starred in major Hollywood films, including 'The Dirty Dozen'. Trini Lopez never forgot his roots and always stood up for the socially disadvantaged until he sadly passed away 11th August 2020.
