Jenny And The Mexicats are already celebrating their tenth band anniversary this year. Even though they only became known to a broader public in Germany last year through their two tours and the release of the current album "Mar Abierto/Open Sea", they have long since become a household name in their Mexican homeland, in Latin and North America as well as in Spain. The band was founded in Madrid by the Mexicans Icho and Pantera, who had previously moved with their punk band from Mexico City to Spain, the Spaniard David and the British singer and trumpeter Jenny. Soon after the foundation the band returned or moved to Mexico, where they played their way up from small stages. The release of the first, self-titled album in 2012 directly brought the big success and the two hits "Verde M?s All?" and "Me Voy a Ir". Since then the band has become an integral part of the big stages and festivals of Mexico, and the surrounding countries including the USA could be conquered in the following years. In 2017 the logical step followed to continental Europe and beyond the Spanish-speaking area. On the occasion of the 10th band birthday the review in album form "10 Spins Around the Sun" will be released. The album contains songs from the three albums released so far, but also only digitally released singles, such as the Mexicats version of the Mexican tradition "La Bruja" and the current, successful remix of the song "La Primera Despedida" by the legendary Drum & Bass producer Deep Inc. The titles and hits of the first two albums such as "Verde M?s All?", "Me Voy a Ir", "Labios", "Boulevard" and "Starting Something" are also available on CD for the first time in Europe on "10 Spins Around The Sun".
