Roger Chapman "Chappo" began his international career in 1966 as front man of the band FAMILY. The compact style of the band, which was characterized in an extraordinary way by the interaction of Chapman's vocals with saxophone and violin, created a solid basis for Chapman's cutting and roaring vocal style. The legendary performance at the WDR - Rockpalast, brought the breakthrough for him, because his version of the Rolling Stones song "Let's Spend The Night Together" entered the German charts in 1980. In 1981 Roger's biggest hit followed: the Mike Oldfield composition "Shadows On The Wall". "Hyenas only laugh for fun" was the rock album of the year in Germany in 1981. In 1989 Roger Chapman released the sensational 'Walking The Cat' album which reached high positions in the German charts. Never thinking of retirement, Chapman released an extraordinary double album "Hide Go Seek" in 2009. He had searched and found 28 tracks of lost gems. Only 8 of the 28 tracks were previously released in other versions.
