With "Maidan" the Danish post-rock band BOUNDARIES releases their debut album on 05.03.2021. The longplayer is an unrestrained rock album about all the violence that we currently experience within us and around us. Thereby the Danes combine what they can do best: Post-Rock with new influences. The album title "Maidan" (pronounced: /m...d..n/) describes an area in or near a city that is used for public gatherings and protests, and is also intended to take on exactly this function in terms of music and content. From grueling implosions in the song "Harness" to claustrophobic loneliness in the track "Indefinite Hours," BOUNDARIES convey a broad range of emotions found in each of us. With "Maidan" BOUNDARIES has succeeded in creating an ambitious and comprehensive album, which is also the preliminary culmination of their own vision: To create music for this millennium. Not least, some exotic features provide for an individual and characteristic album sound: besides a guzheng, a Chinese instrument, BOUNDARIES also let traditional Altai music and string instruments like mandolins and cellos, flow into their rock sound.
