Platinum selling Canadian pop group Marianas Trench recently released their fourth studio album, Astoria, and will be touring Europe for the first time this fall. The anticipation from their dedicated and ever-expanding fan base in Europe is brewing. With hits such as One Love, Fallout, Haven’t Had Enough, and Stutter, this pop-rock quartet constantly raises the bar for quality music, which translates into their explosive live shows. This past spring and summer, Marianas Trench performed sold out shows across Canada and the USA. Astoria echoes one part 1980’s fantasy adventure film and one part classic Marianas Trench. It honours classic coming of age stories, and reflects on frontman Josh Ramsay’s own personal journey that took him from the highest high to the darkest point in his life and career. "This album is about completely falling to pieces, and picking yourself back up again," Josh explains. "We took the hardest two years of my life and made it into something beautiful, and our best work to date." Marianas Trench was formed in Vancouver, BC by triple-threat lead singer/songwriter/producer Josh Ramsay who received a Grammy nomination in 2012 for his production and co-writing of Carly Rae Jepsen’s pop gem break-through “Call Me Maybe.” Marianas Trench has released four full-length albums in Canada with two – Ever After and Masterpiece Theatre – being certified platinum. The band is signed to 604 Records/Sony in Canada
