Rocking the scene with their iconic 2009 debut A Brand You Can Trust, fans grew by the hundreds with the introduction of the groups mind-piercing content atop ear-shattering performances. Their sophomore record Masters of the Dark Arts continued in shaping their darker brand of music through lyrical chops against controversial subjects. La Coka Nostra returns to the scene with the scheduled release of their third installment, To Thine Own Self Be True, which promises nothing but their familiar yet unfamiliar sounds. This album was recorded as I walked out of a very dark time toward a place of truth and understanding, mentioned Slaine regarding the record, this album is a moment in time… It is visceral and real. Non Phixions Ill Bill affirmed to this, as well expressing each individuals personal encounters being thrown into the new mix, signified through the record as a time of unique and individual transformation for each member of the group: Speaking for myself, Ill Bill continued, Its been a heavy last couple of years.
