Gatefold. Parisian band Nouvelle Vague, whose name means New Wave in French and Bossa Nova in Portuguese, made a splash in the mid-00s with their kitschy, jazzy (often sublime) lounge covers of early 80s punk and post-punk tunes. The group — Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux with a variety of singers — are back with their fifth LP, I Could Be Happy, which will be out November 4 via Kwaidan Record / !K7. The LP also features bossa nova covers of songs by Cocteau Twins, Brian Eno, Ramones, The Cure, and Richard Hell. Its also got, for the first time, some original songs as well.
