Roger Goula is a rising star of contemporary classical music.has based his album on the psychological phenomenon experienced by astronauts when viewing Earth from a distance, allowing them to see the entire planet surrounded by the endless black void of space. This can cause a cognitive shift in the minds of the astronauts, giving them a completely new perspective on life, Earth and humanity. His compositions, in the vein of his peers such as Nils Frahm and Max Richter, bridge the gap between classical and electronic music in a way that is both reflective and transportive. Inspired by renaissance and baroque music (Monteverdi, Bach, Vivaldi), as well as by minimalism (Reich, Glass, Part), and looking at the language of electronic music (Aphex Twin, Autechre), his compositions perform complexity through repetition of minimal elements and emotional textures
