SPOOKY & BOLAN - Low Rider / All Black Winter (Sealed) (10")

Following his work with Edgem and general ubiquity on London's stations over the last year or so, it was only natural that he and Spooky found themselves in the studio together. Low Rider starts the process. A malevolent take on the West Coast walking bassline style, we signed it before it was even a track - just a 4am 8-bar loop, haze and sub. After listening to that sparse 20 seconds on repeat for a while, they brought muscle to the skeleton - DJ Quik in Peckham. All Black Winter, meanwhile, takes their sound in a much harsher direction.
