Soleil is the tenth album by French singer Francoise Hardy, released internationally in 1970. The album features both original material, penned by Hardy, and other authors’ adaptations; it contains one of her best-ever songs, ‘Fleur De Lune’, with its wonderfully moody melody, descending guitar lines and silky vocals, originally written by Micky Jones and Tommy Brown. The album spans between rock, acoustic ballads like ‘Soleil’, sentimental pop in ‘L’Ombre’, chirpy showbiz in ‘Le Crabe’.
