What is happening here? The Irievibrations Studio – located in Vienna – is filled with booming bass lines and screeching echo loops. The answer is simple: Syrix, main producer of Irievibrations Records, is working on a new album. With the catalog number IRIE100 in the record discography of the Austrian based label – which is equitable to the 100th official release– Irievibrations are dedicating their self to the Dub genre. As an avowed Dub enthusiast Syrix enjoyed putting all his creativity into the new album. The more unusual and bizarre the better – without sacrificing the well established Irievibrations trademark sound. A multitude of analog delays, spring reverbs, filters and sirens are shaping up the foundation of the DUB STATION. The album features Dub Versions of well know Irievibrations hits like Anthony B's Freedom Fighter, Delus' LaLaLa and Luciano's Hard Road as well as unreleased and exclusively produced tracks. As usual Irievibrations Records features many well know Reggae stars like Apple Gabriel (Israel Vibrations), Akea Beka aka Vaughn Benjamin, Junior Kelly and up-andcoming star Kabaka Pyramid on the album “Irievibrations - Dub Station”. All 15 songs showcase Syrix' proficiency as a Dub mixer / producer and his ability to follow in King Dubby's or Lee Perry's footsteps – without giving up on his very own and unique style. With a duration of more than 60 minutes the album offers enough time to lean back and go on a musical journey filled up with bass lines, delays, reverbs and sound effects.
