The Jerusalem Duo sees itself as a new voice in the world of music that transcends the boundaries of conventional genres. Hila Ofek and Andre Tsirlin have studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Music & Dance and, like most of the good things in life, the first performance of the Jerusalem duo was rather coincident. And, really, in the amalgamation of one of the oldest with one of the most recent instruments of the history of music, a sound experience has rarely been heard. The individual sound colors of the Jerusalem duo on their very different instruments make it almost impossible to recognize which of the instruments is playing (Florance Sitruck, artistic director of the International Israeli Harp Competition) Since her first collaborations, the Jerusalem Duo has performed in numerous European and Israeli cities, has participated in major festivals, received prestigious scholarships such as Live MusikNow in Frankfurt, won several competitions such as the 6th International Israeli Music Competition in London and The 3rd International TEREM-CROSSOVER Competition in Saint Petersburg. In addition, they have already worked successfully with such renowned artists as Giora Feidman.
