The Swedes are finally back with "The Grand Still". For NEXTSTOP: HORIZON the album is an experiment, created from different sound worlds and collaborations with talented musicians. A unique blend of Indiefolk, Pop, Kurt Weill, Tom Waits, Vaudeville, Cabaret, Swing, Circus, Balkan Folklore, Soul and Gospel. In the years following the release of the popular debut "We Know Exactly Where We Are Going" (2011) and the successor "The Harbor, My Home" (2014), the duo completed various European tours and performances at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. The creativity had already bubbled some time when Jenny and P?r of NEXTSTOP: HORIZON decided in spring 2016 to concretize the work for their third album. But this time something should be different. From the beginning it was clear that both wanted to try new writing and working methods. The other part should also be the division of the work, because P?r and Jenny wanted to write and produce equally with this album. In the in-house recording studio in Gothenburg everything was installed and both started as often as they were able to work on the record. For the final touchdown, the two teamed up with the producers Henrik Als?r. Henrik kept coming around to challenge the two with excitement - and to bring them back when they were lost in confusion in the wilderness of the sounds. Days were weeks, weeks turned into months and slowly the new synth friends were getting to know and understand. The songs were finished and reissued, until they finally felt ready to get more members into the team. The neighbors Mattias Axelsson and Magnus Boqvist came to the drums and Jonathan Gustavsson to the Tropmete. In the last warm Swedish week of August, the final overdubs and vocal recordings, mixing lots and "The Grand Still" was born
