RHONDA - Wire (LP+CD) (Sealed) (LP/CD)

Two and a half years after Rhonda's debut album "Raw Love" the successor "Wire" appears on 27.01.2017 on [PIAS] Germany. The quintet has refined its blend of groovy beats, a lofty soul with sixties vibe and sparkling melodies, but the punk roots never forget. Thus, "Wire" sounds partly cinematic and much darker than its predecessor, which is not least due to the participation of the German Filmorchester Babelsberg in some songs! The collaboration began in November last year, when Rhonda got an offer to play a concert with the film orchestra in Potsdam, which was sold out promptly! Even then, some of the new songs were being sampled, and it was clear to everyone that these pieces should be recorded for the new album.
