When THE PEACOCKS played their first show in 1990, none of the three guys were aware that this band would still exist after more than a quarter of a century. And not that they should become one of the most prolific and most dynamic bands of their genre. So THE PEACOCKS have done hundreds of shows, countless tours throughout Europe, the USA, Canada and even Japan, and released a total of 18 releases including all studio albums, best-of records, EPs and singles. THE PEACOCKS have built up a strong and loyal fanbase all over the world over the years. 5 years after their last full length album "Do not Ask" THE PEACOCKS from Winterthur are now back and present their now 8. studio album with "Flamingo". 5 years is a long time, but the wait has definitely paid off, because the 12 new tracks sound extremely sophisticated and prove again that THE PEACOCKS belong to the best of their genre. Extremely catchy. Very groovy. This is the perhaps most exciting studio album of the three Swiss people, who have developed further in their 27-year-old band history. And "Flamingo" actually manages to put another shot on it. Even the great opener "A Lie And A Cheat" shows where the journey goes. Incredibly groovy rockabilly with great melodies, a good shot punk and pop, and even bonds of jazz, soul and boogie. But not least thanks to the distinctive voice of singer and guitarist Hasu Langhart, the band continues to sound unmistakably after THE PEACOCKS. "Flamingo" will be released as a limited Digipak CD, limited edition 12 "LP (180g Vinyl), Digital Download and Stream on March 10, 2017 at Concrete Jungle Records (Edel / Kontor New Media).
