Porest unveils original music and recordings from the covert sector of his archives. Culled from shortwave and FM broadcasts, these selections were said to be intercepted via "prepared radio" - one finely tuned to receive what is known in certain circles as parallel broadcasting. Content explores the trauma of emerging global consciousness, acute cultural antipology and the urgent placement of democratic music today. Recorded on location in Jan/Feb, 2016, with contributions from Paul Staufenbiel (Aavikko) and Michael Darr. Featuring radio dramas, brutal sound collage, pop music interludes, and a shocking expos? on CIA Punk group: DOWN WITH CULTURE. Originally created for OPTIMIZED! (on WFMU), which featured 3 days of programming curated by Vicki Bennett (People Like Us), comprising 10 hours of new/exclusive recordings, radio & video by 26 participants. Side B features Porest's early radio archaeological release: Radio Between the Lines (and Before the EU) recorded and assembled 1997-1999. Full-length cassette comes pressed on a baby blue cassette in full colour sleeve.
