From the outset, SHOCK THERAPY were surrounded by rumors of their sprawling drug consumption. The band released their first EP, entitled "SHOCK THERAPY" in 1985, and immediately made the breakthrough. The first pressing was already sold out after two weeks. The CD release of "HATE IS A 4-LETTERWORD" sold 28,000 times straight away and the song "Hate is a 4-Letter Word" of the same name is one of the underground hits that still plays regularly in every indie disco has been.
