Leslie Clio has made a huge musical step with her album PURPLE. It was only four years ago and it went all so fast: already in 2013, with her debut GLADYS, Leslie had her breakthrough. The album reached #11 in the German charts, Clio was nominated as the best national artist for the Echo and her music can be heard on television, in films (eg "Der Schlussmacher"), big festivals. In 2015, second-placed at EUREKA, again top 15, months of intensive touring, altogether 100,000 sold records and 20 million streamed songs .... Time for a break. At the end of 2015, Leslie Clio takes the time to get a little bit away from the pop business, returns to her home town Berlin for a while and goes to Hawaii. "I have said good-bye to many people," says Clio, "and I simply sold everything: every plate, every fork, every spoon that had a meaning in my life. It was a radical new beginning. In Hawaii, I lived in a house with five other people who had grown their own vegetables and helped me with the harvest. But most of all, in a long process, I found out who I am and what I want. " And that can be heard now on her new album PURPLE!
