DURUTTI COLUMN,THE - Live In Japan 1984 - 1985 (3CD/DVD) (Sealed) (4CD)

The British postpunk band The Durutti Column, founded in Manchester in 1978, was practically a solo project by Vini Reilly (guitar, piano, composition). His main musical accompaniment was drummer Bruce Mitchell. Together with John Metcalfe (viola) and Tim Kellet (trumpet), this Reilly accompanied to Tokyo in 1985, where the quartet gave a 90-minute concert at the Gotanda Kan'i Hoken Hall on April 25th. This was recorded digitally and filmed with two 35mm cameras. The Audiomitschnitt appeared in August of that year with Factory under the title "Domo Arigato". Three of the Silverlings included in the box set "Live In Japan 1984-1985" are devoted to this concert. While CD 1 presents the digital mix of the original LP, CD 2 offers the appearance in remastered sound quality. In addition there is a DVD with the concert film. This was originally published 1985 as Laserdisc in Japan. Here too, the editors have provided an appropriate sound. The compilation is rounded off with a CD, which contains a previously unpublished performance of The Durutti Column at the Tokyo Loft Club on 29 April 1984.
